Key Summary of the Committee

The Investment Committee shall:

- Develop and maintain an investment policy aligned with the chamber’s financial goals.

- Oversee the allocation of financial resources into investment opportunities.

- Monitor investment performance and adjust strategies as needed.

- Assess and manage financial risks associated with investments.

- Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements related to investments.

- Report investment performance and recommendations to the Chamber Board.

- Engage with financial advisors or investment managers as necessary.

Leadership

- Chairperson: Leads meetings, ensures adherence to investment policies, and reports to the Chamber Board.

- Vice-Chair: Assists the Chairperson and assumes duties in their absence.

- Administrative Support: Manages documentation, financial reports, and coordination of investment strategies.

Committee Members

- The committee shall consist of 5-7 members selected from chamber members in good standing.

- Members should have experience in finance, investment management, or economic development.

- All members must adhere to ethical standards and conflict-of-interest policies.


- Investment Policy Oversight: Review and update investment policies to align with chamber objectives.

- Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of investments and ensure a diversified portfolio.

- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks associated with investment decisions.

- Financial Planning: Align investment strategies with the chamber’s long-term financial goals.

- Reporting & Compliance: Ensure transparency in investment reporting and compliance with financial regulations.
