Key Summary of the Committee

The Events & Programs Committee shall:

- Develop and coordinate a calendar of events, including networking opportunities, business expos and educational programs.

- Plan and execute signature events, including fundraisers, award ceremonies, and community engagement initiatives.

- Collaborate with chamber members, sponsors, and local businesses to enhance event success.

- Ensure that events align with the chamber’s mission and strategic goals.

Promote events through various marketing channels, including social media, newsletters, and community outreach.

- Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, and guest speakers.

- Evaluate event effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.


Leadership

- Chairperson: Leads meetings, ensures adherence to event planning goals, and reports to the Chamber Board.

- Vice-Chair: Assists the Chairperson and assumes duties in their absence.

- Administrative Support: Manages documentation, event registration, and coordination of committee activities.

Committee Members

- The committee shall consist of 5-10 members selected from chamber members in good standing.

- Members should have experience in event planning, marketing, or community engagement.

- All members must commit to active participation and collaboration in event execution.

- Sponsorship & Partnerships: Identify and secure sponsorships to support event funding.

- Post-Event Evaluations: Assess event success and implement improvements for future initiatives.

- Maintain regular communication with the Chamber Board regarding event progress.

- Provide timely updates to chamber members on upcoming programs and opportunities.

- Develop marketing materials and promotional campaigns to increase event participation.
